Nearly 16,000 students from Bend, La Pine and Sunriver are served by the schools. The District has enjoyed exceptional community support, most recently, the community approved a $119 million bond in November 2006. Nestled at the base of the Cascade Mountain Range, the District borders alpine forests and the high desert, and is well known for its 300+ days of sunshine a year.
