Position Description:	SPED TECHNICAL ASSISTANT-SPEECH/LANGUAGE - Temporary: Location will vary. Job Group D, $13.71/hr, hours to be determined between 4 to 7.5 hrs per day. College or AA degree from accredited college/university in specified discipline - physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech language pathology required. Certificate or state license for specific training - licensed physical therapy assistant (LPTA), certificated occupation therapy assistant (COTA) or speech and language pathology assistant (SLP). Demonstrate therapy skill through training and/or prior experience. Ability to implement therapy practices under the direction of the licensed therapist. Supervise and assist students in assigned therapy support services. Prepare materials for student instruction as directed by the licensed therapist following appropriate protocol for specific discipline. Assist in student performance evaluations. Must be able to provide proof of employment eligibility.

Community Description:	Our district is located in a growing urban area south of metropolitan Portland, Oregon. The Pacific Ocean and all the Oregon coast has to offer is only two hours away, and the spectacular beauty and recreational opportunities of the Columbia River Gorge is only half hour away. The Cascade Mountains with the Mount Hood ski are is east of the district and provides some of the best skiing found in the Western states. All of this added to the fact that the State of Oregon and its citizens care that the environment provide healthy living, makes the location of North Clackamas School District the ideal place to work and live.
