Position Description:	Welcome applicants, Thank you for your interest in Salem-Keizer Public Schools. To be given full consideration, a complete application includes the following: build resume section, uploading your Criminal History Verification form and answering all questions. 2.75 - 6.0 hr/day, Will work as on-call Substitute Days: Varies Hours: Varies Location: Brush College, Keizer, Lee, Liberty, Miller, Morningside or Rosedale November 2009 - May 2010 Salary: $11.00/hour to start (based on experience / education) Substitute Preschool Assistant Assist preschool teacher in providing preschool age children opportunities for math and reading readiness, gross and fine motor development, dramatic and sensory play, and social/emotional development. Minimum Qualifications 10 semester hours or 15 quarter college hours in Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience working with preschool-age children. First Aid certification preferred.

The Willamette River, one of the few that flows from south to north, winds through the Salem area forming the boundary between Marion and Polk counties. With mountains and the majestic Oregon coastline to the west, mountains and lakes to the east, an abundance of rivers surrounding it and the state's largest city an hour to the north, Salem offers something for everyone. Ongoing preservation of the historic downtown buildings, along with a downtown core master plan for residential and commercial development, ensures managed growth.Salem takes great pride in its citizen involvement. Most redevelopment projects are supported by countless volunteers who cooperate with and complement city staff. Volunteers help create neighborhood parks, promote crime watch programs, staff libraries, and support a variety of other projects.
