Position Description:
| Regular Education Assistant 2 / Teen Mom / Temporary (When completing the application, choose the "Instructional Classified" role for this position.)
Position Summary:
Perform a variety of instructional duties assisting a licensed staff member in the implementation of an instructional program for teen moms and their babies. Will assist in feeding and changing diapers; supervising of infants and toddlers, and providing individualized and age appropriate activities. Coordinates day-care services in the program.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent and an Associate of Arts Degree; or thirty quarter-hours of early childhood education.
- Assist in coordinating daily operation of nursery
- Interact with teen parents to facilitate pro-social and early childhood education activities with their babies
- Experience in preschool programs preferred
- Ability to effectively work and communicate with students, parents, and school personnel from diverse cultures or backgrounds in English, Spanish, or other languages related to the job
