Position Description:	120 ESL INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT - Bilingual/Spanish Required: Elementary TBD. Job Group C, $12.26 per hour, 4 hrs per day. Provide support for ESL instruction and program requirements under the direction of an ESL teacher; support for Newcomers; support communication between the school and families; district support for interpretation and translation for school conferences and meetings, open houses, IEP meetings, and district communications. Two years of college, strong oral and literacy skills in English and Spanish; interpretation and translation skills are required. Preferred experience helping students learn and experience working with families. Must be able to provide proof of employment eligibility. Closing date: Open Until Filled

Community Description:	Our district is located in a growing urban area south of metropolitan Portland, Oregon. The Pacific Ocean and all the Oregon coast has to offer is only two hours away, and the spectacular beauty and recreational opportunities of the Columbia River Gorge is only half hour away. The Cascade Mountains with the Mount Hood ski are is east of the district and provides some of the best skiing found in the Western states. All of this added to the fact that the State of Oregon and its citizens care that the environment provide healthy living, makes the location of North Clackamas School District the ideal place to work and live.
