EdZapp is an online recruiting-through-hire management tool for school districts and educational organizations. The system allows states to maintain a standardized application for all teachers working in the state, while also allowing each district or school to maintain its own customized application. For applicants, the system provides research tools, document management services, and the ability to apply to hundreds of employers through a single online application.
EdZapp accomplishes these services through a robust database that is accessed by job seekers (who input application information and respond to job advertisements), and employers (who post job advertisements and retrieve applicant information). This database platform is Microsoft SQL Server 2005, and the data structure is in the First Normal Form: the industry standard for performance and manageability of transactional data, and comprehensively indexed with anonymous surrogate keys to support complex queries.
The user interfaces are built within Microsoft?s .Net framework (v. 1.1).
As of January 1, 2007, EdZapp is used by over 300 school districts and 50,000 applicants in the United States and Canada.
