How does it work?

When a document is received by EducatorZapp, a consistent procedure is followed. All transcripts, licenses, test scores, and letters of reference are checked by our staff for the following characteristics:

1. The envelope/packaging is sealed upon arrival.
2. The packaging and contents have no indication of tampering.
3. A "mark of authenticity," such as a seal, stamp, or raised embossment on a transcript, or an ink signature from the letter writer.
4. The name on the materials match the name of the applicant who requested them.
5. The name of the source (institution, letter writer, etc.) is the same as the source indicated by the applicant in the request.

Documents meeting all five of these criteria are considered "Verified" by EdZapp, and are designated as such in the viewing interface.
